The American Hospital Association’s Published Materials

The president of the HCA Mountain Division since 2014, Gregory “Greg” Angle manages 11 hospitals across three states. To stay informed on changes in his field and connect with his peers, Greg Angle is a member of the American Hospital Association (AHA).

Though the AHA has over 120 years of experience providing professional development for hospitals’ nonmedical personnel, its broader educational efforts are much newer. Its online reports and fact sheets cater to different audiences’ needs for healthcare information.

Its Health Care: The Big Picture section on its website, for instance, archives present and past data bout diverse aspects of healthcare. Examples include the costs of medications over time, trends in the number of individuals without health insurance, and the types of healthcare plans employees took advantage of from their employers.

A more targeted aspect of the AHA’s materials is its Advancing Health in America (AHA) series. Divided into two sections, for hospital administrators and patients ,respectively, the AHA series informs readers on subjects most relevant to each group. Each section of the series contains documents like case studies and explanations of important terminology encountered by each group.
